At The Purist, sustainability is at the heart of everything we create. Our mission is to craft clean, conscious skincare that nurtures both the skin and the planet.

Clean, Conscious Formulations

We commit to using only certified organic, cruelty-free, water-free and non-toxic ingredients sourced from ethical growers. No synthetic fragrances, parabens or petrochemical derivatives — ever.

Ethical Ingredient Sourcing

We work exclusively with suppliers who prioritise sustainability, traceability and fair-trade values.

Supplier 1

  • Sells RSPO-certified palm oil and offers COSMOS/organic ingredients

  • Prioritises plant-based, minimal-additive raw materials

  • Transparent about ingredient origins and safety

  • Supports ethical sourcing and fair-trade relationships — including women-led cooperatives in Ghana (shea butter) and rural communities in India (mango butter)

  • Holds recognised organic certifications including COSMOS and Soil Association

Supplier 2

  • Focuses on sustainable, cruelty-free and plant-based sourcing

  • Avoids petroleum and animal by-products

  • Offers Soil Association certified organic ingredients

  • Emphasises traceability, recyclable packaging and community sourcing where possible

  • Well-reviewed for transparency and quality

Supplier 3

  • Specialises in certified organic and food-grade essential and base oils

  • Provides Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) and IFRA certificates for transparency and quality control

  • Sources responsibly, including plantation-grown sandalwood and ethical partnerships supporting community initiatives abroad​

Packaging System

We aim to minimise waste through a refill-and-reuse model:

  • Customers receive a reusable Miron glass bottle with their first purchase

  • Subsequent orders are supplied in lightweight aluminium refills to reduce carbon impact

  • Orders are shipped in fully recyclable packaging​

Sustainable Delivery

We use Royal Mail, which operates the UK’s largest electric delivery fleet and has committed to a 2040 net-zero emissions target. They continue to expand zero-emission final-mile delivery, prioritise “feet on the street” walking routes, and reduce reliance on virgin materials within their operations.

Water & Waste Reduction

  • All formulations are fully biodegradable

  • We focus on waterless products to reduce manufacturing water use
